I write mainly to get support from TSW warriors and understanding from friends, and create more awareness in Singapore community about TSW / TSA. Hopefully soon, TSW warriors won’t get as much stares when walking out on the streets.

I write to provide anyone wanting to understand / going through Topical Steriod Withdrawal (TSW) an additional case study to refer to.

I don’t write as well as the average Singapore young people, but I thought this is a good way to finally brush up my writing skills and improve my grammer / language. My written language has deteriorated greatly since high school.

Hence any free language review on my posts is greatly appreciated! 😀

Below are my particulars.

Topical Steriod Usage History:

I used high-potent strength, Bethamethasone Valerate 0.1% in 100gm tubs, perhaps 8 tubs a year for 25 years. I have had around 15 2-week courses of oral Prednisolone, and a 6month period of the same drug. I used at least 40 tubes of Protopic. I had Clobex for my scalp and used perhaps only 3 bottles (phew). Only condolence is that I had never injected steroids.

This is my stash of steriods left before I started the TSW journey:

I am so interested in your story and I hope you heal soon. I have been trying to decide whether to go tsw or using the Aron Regime. I have been reading the stories on https://www.facebook.com/groups/Etsin/ and it seems to me a far gentler approach to withdrawing from steroids, than tsw. I will keep following your progress with interest.

Hi Terry, first of all, congratulations on braving yourself to go through steroid withdrawal. And yes I am aware of Dr Aron’s method, but because he uses high amounts of anti biotics and toggles with different strengths of steroid to wean off, I am skeptical. I wish you the best whichever path you decided to take. Do let me know how you are doing when you start ya? God Bless.
