I am ridiculous.
For the past 2 weeks or so I have been flaking excessively.
Every morning, I will wake and soak myself in Epsom salt bath, for 30mins or more. Then after that I will scratch silly and flake horribly.
I failed to realise that it was the Epsom salt that caused the flaking. This was until one day when I did not soak my torso, and realised that only the torso was not flaking as much. I logged on to the internet to confirm that Epsom salt dries the skin much.
How silly is this? I just do what everyone is doing, but I didn’t search enough information on when we should NOT use Epsom. I caused my own misery.
Then I went to check on the collodial oatmeal bath, and out of desperation decided to search for grinder and tried. Collodial oatmeal bath is supposed to moisturise really well, and reduce itch and soreness. BUT
1st time, I itched horribly on my chest.
2nd time it was really good. Felt so moisturised.
3rd time, was this morning after waking, and I itched horribly whilst still in the bath. I scratched myself really sore.
So much pain!!! I think it the MTHFR gene mutation problem. The decrease in shedded skin is so noticeable though.
Really don’t know what to do. So confusing……….. argh. sore.
I got through my 2nd month. Wow what a painful 2 months…… and stepping into the 3rd. I hope to manage better and hope the symptoms don’t come all hard on me……
